Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from families considering City Soccer Academy.

Gear & Equipment

Do players need a City Soccer shirt?+
Yes. Shirts are required to play in any session beyond the Intro Session. For Development Games players, one shirt is required. For City Soccer Progression players (Prep, Open Academy, City Program), at least two shirts are required after orientation. Shirts are bought through our online store; you pick them up at the field. If a player shows up without a shirt, there is a small gate fee.

Programs

What is different about Development Games?+
Development Games is the simplest path. After paying your registration fee and buying one City Soccer shirt, you are done — no orientation, no monthly membership, no recurring payment. Show up to weekly games on the schedule that works for you. Sign up for slots in the app. New players are welcome anytime.

Registration & Fees

What is the registration fee?+
The registration fee is a one-time fee, paid per player, that you pay online after attending your free Intro Session. It is required to continue with any City Soccer program. The fee is non-refundable and does not count toward any monthly enrollment or membership fee — it is the entry to anything beyond the Intro Session.
Do I have to enroll in a paid membership?+
Only if you are joining one of the City Soccer Progression programs (City Soccer Prep, Open Academy, or The City Program). After your registration fee is paid, you enroll in a membership through our app for an orientation month, then switch to your ongoing membership after orientation. If you are only playing in Development Games, you do not enroll — registration plus a shirt is all you need.
